stumbled blindly down some stairs
I left my wallet and a book St. Peter gave me

I had to get out of that scene real quick

I liked the cool air of the evening
the way it felt against my spine
I crossed the street to a liquor store
to buy a bottle of wine

then I carried it across the city to find my favorite girl
lost in her sad eyes, drowning in a cannibal world

chewin' on the city like a sick dog chewing a bone

but loving I scorned
so I turned to the deep blue water
where nature was born

lost between horizons on a dead log learning to float
